also its simple biology – an extra day of rave means an extra day of human shit, and unlike the old style travellers few people bother to bury it. The locals aren’t standing for it any more (or wanting to stand in it).
Perhaps it’s time for the organisers to stick up some big signs to remind those that are a little “forgetful” of the main principles or free parties. It’s a sad indication of the state of our society when stuff like that isn’t just common sense and decency to so many people.
I saw the BBC news report on Davidstow and they interviewed one of the organisers, who mentioned that money had been put down for bins that never arrived, and that nobody wanted to leave a mess but they had no choice because the old bill were gonna arrest anyone still there after 1pm.
some local crews are already doing “clean up after yourselves” flyers.
I recently saw a scan of the old “bury your shit” flyer from the 90s free party days; unfortunately it is low resolution or it could have been reprinted and ressurected for today.
I think they did offer money but the cops refused, and then they (cops) seized the rubbish bags as evidence which and their contents were actually sifted through by forensics! :yakk:
can anyone help me out on its where abouts such as cornwall, london, wales, norfolk etc cos we need to know so we can decide wether to stay local or go to it
cheers raaa
i think the beeb has that pre-recorded andplayed every bank hols
the statement is almost the same one cops use every time but with bits added on to it relating to bad incidents that happened at previous raves..
the cops aren’t as stupid as people think; every time ravers fuck up they remember this and they use it against us in the propaganda war..
