Its far more than a story about a cool toy – its an excellent article about how a young lady who did not follow the “normal” ground-rules of conservative American society yet still managed to do well even in business – it shows liberal America at its best and is a glimmer of hope for the world. (She hasn’t even had a big company try to sue her yet for copying designs !)
It is something we can certainly learn from here in Britain – we have loads of innovative high-tech companies; yet I bet none of them would take the risk of employing (even as a consultant) a “non-graduate”, despite the clear facts that those who create technological solutions for the passion of it often have far better drive than those whose minds have been dulled and corrupted by the “youth farming” that goes on in our “dreaming spires of Varsity”..
Hmm – I want one of these – wonder if she will make one for Europe? (the circuitry may need changing because of our different video standards here)
