  • Crikey, when I think what I used to put up with before partys! Piss heads, bouncers and a 2 o’clock close unless you pay a tenner to get in somewhere!

Free partys have enabled me to meet some of the best people I know and build some really valued friendships.

I love being able to mooch about chatting crap to whoever will listen and feel safe (some areas more than others tho!)

The music is important-I love tekno, hardtek, tribtek etc…. but it doesnt really matter to a certain extent whats being pumped through the speakers. As long as its a got a beat and your in good company fun should be had by all!:bounce_fl

I also like a nice PHAT soundsytem, but I have been spoilt and kinda got used to listening to ours so I always try and remember what we had when we first started out and appreciate any effort that people make because at the end of the day if there wern’t people out there willing to put on these partys-what would we do with our weekends? Go ‘clubbing’ with the majority??? Perhaps not.

    raaa raaa raaa

    🙂

Music is the main reason I got to parties.
I enjoy seeing people, but I’m not too fussed about it. More often than not I’ll travel on my lonesome!
I used to love the whole “vibe” (I used to love everything about parties), but nowadays the vibe just seems to pass me.
So, just music to lock into.

I love the freedom to do whatever you want (within reason) and not be restricted by rules and regulations. I love the fact you don’t have to pay £3.00+ for a beer and £8 to go to these parties. I love the music (mostly), the people, the furry rugs and the laughs.

the whole awesome atmosphere, the freedom, the music… i cant really say, just better innit, like a good festival.

much prefer it to payin £3 a pint, gettin searched when payin £15 for entry, then gettin me head kicked in ‘cos i’m wearin the wrong jeans or summat :yakk:

    fucking everything
the vibe, the music, the people, the task of finding it, the dogs

but most of all i love it when at about 5am when everyone is completely off their faces u can gaurentee the DJ will bust out some mad sample to fuck with everyones heds

the idea of dancing without a license appeals to me

or rather, the concept of needing a license to dance makes me mad and i need to kick back

Ppl here sound like they’ve had some pretty bad experiences wit bouncers!! Maybe you guys goin to the wrong clubs?!
Kno what you mean with some shitty ones but places like the Soundhaus in Glasgow or a gd night at the arches still amazing, good company, everyone spangled, never had bouncer trouble.
Never be as good as a proper outdoor party but they not on every wk – if only they were…
And sometimes unlicensed have trouble too – I ws at one in a tenement block – dude tried to slide down from banister at very top, fell and wld have died if he didn’t land on a massive spike through his arm. Saved his life bt fucked his arm up real bad. Lesson: dont slide down banisters if mdma involved!
Gd thing at that party tho – one room had massive trampoline in it – great fun at 6am!
    keep partying!

I think its more the licensing rules and drugs laws. Its a licensing condition that all public venues must have some sort of “drugs policy” and in many areas the CID and Council do covert surveillance on venues to see if they are being lax and tolerating drug use.

    The Vibe!!!

Allowing yourself to live things deeply hidden in you, feeling home surrounded by (so-called) freaks…and the Star above us…

when researching some local history recently what I found shocking was how long ago the entertainment license system was set up, it actually dates back from the 1600s and times of puritanism, and loads of fairs/festivals got closed down around the 1700s for much the same reasons they do today.. :hopeless:

. . . meetin all those lovely random strangers :groucho:

that is one of my hobbies 🙂

ive only been to one, but i love them cos u can go to one and not feel like ppl are there just to look good, im not the prettiest fish in the river, but its fucking annoying when girls or boys wont talk to u just cos they arent ” a fit guy”, pisses me off.

what i dont like: those kind of nobheads you get who ruin the vibe with fighting etc
someone tried to rob me at a free party on saturday night:frown:
well i say he tried to rob me, theres a chance he wanted to shag me too :lol_big:
