  • Helloooo…

Well excited about LGP, anybody know anything about the lineup for it?

    What is it?

It’s a mini Psy Trance festival!

    Cool.

Anymore details (i.e. legal/illegal, area (if legal), date)?

    Please excuse my ignorance.

    Cheers!

If you can get to it…DO SO. Had a marvellous time there last year. The plane trip to Scotland I had to take the next morning with work was tres amusant. Tripping like billy-o in an airport trying to work out how to make unicycle safe for plane-going, removing pedals etc. at the check in desk was quite a challenge. The security bit was a giggle aswell. Had to keep telling myself “don’t worry, you’ve got nothing on you they can’t do nuffink.” Ended up on the plane sat with a stuffy businessman on one side and a middle aged woman on the other who weren’t getting as much enjoyment as myself from the multicoloured smoke emanating from the roof of the cabin.

    Kit

So far I know it’s on the 4th of June.. Where? I don’t know.. Legality.. I’m not sure either! Definitely worth the trip (whatever type!) I’m sure!

BE AT VICCY OVERGROUND 9PM ON SAT NIGHT & FOLLOW THE MULTICOLOURED PEOPLE…

    EH? :good_evil

anyone got the num,ber to phone?

can find any info on tonights rave. help

    anyone got through?

    i haven’t. and it’s nearly my bedtime

just read that it was busted – with confiscations (although the cops just removed vital parts of rigs and a few cabs rather than an entire stack)

it seems also that the zero-tolerance policies in other areas are driving more and more crews (including out of area crews) into the same spaces with internal conflict and more disruption to locals..

Which imbecile is this posting the number on a public forum? Mods – this should have been removed!

And you wonder why it got busted…?

this is a dilemma – there are lots of promoters, and no agreed policy amongst them as to whether partylines are public or not.

but when I first became a mod on this board about 3 years ago (having been a regular contributor for even longer), there was less hostile action against parties and partylines were regularly posted; we even had a page full of numbers for London crews for many years.

Its only fairly recently that some crews have asked for partylines to be classed as restricted info; and even then others are OK with them being posted.

Along with the other mods I have to strike a balance between security and censorship. I already removed part of a post where the actual target county was discussed… and had someone from LGP contacted us and said “remove the partyline number” we would have done so straight away – however other crews publicise theres so in the first instance I have no idea whether this was “allowed” or not!

    – but there’s still the onus on individual users not to compromise security; as there are times when the mods are not always available immediately (we have social lives as well!)

Speaking from personal experience , whether the phone numbers are posted pubically or whether a party is word of mouth only, the police Will know about and Will find out where the party is.

Obviously if a number or location is published then it makes their job easier, but it’s getting harder for some genuine partygoers to find parties. Obviously security Has to be considered though……..

usually whinging locals are the main source of info to cops about where a party is.

There do seem to be in the UK lots of rich loners who buy big houses in the middle of fucking nowhere, presumably to hide from all the people they have trodden down as they climbed up the social ladder.. just the sort of people who shit themselves if they see more than the usual ramblers/dog walkers going down the paths near their houses and go squealing to the old bill.

OTOH phone numbers do provide another titbit of intelligence. the cops could easily get a RIP warrant and check who has called which number etc (this is fairly simple for a senior cop to get hold of, although listening to voice comms is more difficult and requires a further warrant)

its a big trade off – but we need to face up to the stark facts that parties are becoming harder to put on. There is some kind of wierd karma I’ve noticed whereby genuine partygoers often manage to find the party no matter what – I’ve been to parties 60 miles away and bumped into people from my city whom I haven’t seen for ages…..
