  • its said that mr depp actually divulged in every intoxin featured in the film before hand to gain a better understanding of the role.

    they sure were committed

The lead actors undertook extraordinary preparations for their respective roles. Del Toro gained more than 40 pounds (18 kg) before filming began, and extensively researched Acosta’s life. Depp lived with Thompson for months, doing research for the role as well as studying Thompson’s habits and mannerisms. Depp even traded his car for Thompson’s red Chevrolet Caprice convertible, known to fans as the Great Red Shark, and drove it around California during his preparation for the role. Many of the costumes that Depp wears in the film are actually reproductions of genuine pieces that Depp borrowed from Thompson, and Thompson himself shaved Depp’s head to match his own natural male pattern baldness. Thompson also had a brief cameo in the film as his character, portrayed by Depp, has a flashback to a San Francisco music club, The Matrix, where Thompson can be seen sitting at a table as Depp walks by narrating his inner monologue, “There I was … Mother of God! There I am!”.

my fave is trainspotting.i dont know if ive voted the right way sos if i havent

i love trainspotting but only because i used to use,it reminds me of when i used to do drugs.
i know it sounds silly who would want to be remindedd of the shit i went through but i carnt help it. u would understand if u were an ex user.
    😥 😥

Dont get me wrong I loved the film but in this case the book is an experinace all of its own, you cant really re-create that “cut up style” in a film and produce anything coherant…not that I’m saying I found the book or indeed the film coherant !!

this an human traffic are the films where u can tell the actors know what their on about, or there on them an buzzin about

easy rider is a masterpiece in my opinion… although an accidental masterpiece according to most involved

“when you’re in the right place, with the right people, split this 4 ways. this could be the right place”

and the campfire scene with Jack Nicholson talking about aliens inspired the choice of my daughter’s name, in a round about way

    Drugstore Cowboy also rocks

“Never put a hat on a bed!”

the nark getting set up makes me LAUGH

Requiem For A Dream is one of the few films I find beter than the novel it’staken from… a flawless piece of cinema and a mindblowing soundtrack from the Kronos Quartet

fucked up endings seem to appeal to me

Trainspotting is pretty good watching, but not too realistic. All those junkies, getting a big fat vein in their arm every time? doesn’t happen. There was only one scene, where Mother Theresa was being banged up in the groin, that really gave an idea of how low you can go to get your hit when your veins collapse, which happens quite quickly if you use every day. And they all wore t-shirts, with no scars or track matks to hide! Very few films get it right. You can tell if the writer/actor knows what they’re talking about.

I know I alresdy posted this but anyone esle like ‘dogs in space?’
I’m rahter mashed and watched it last night and still think it great
even though micheal H a narcistic (??) w*nker in it (yum)
    I am :you_crazy :you_crazy :you_crazy :you_crazy lady at the mo

That is impossible to poll for me as nearly everyone of them is fantastic!

Like HEVA104 cant watch trainspotting any more, cant even listen to a couple of the tunes from the film because of the associations Ive made in my head. But like with Fear and Loathing they did put a lot of research into it and Ill always respect Ewan McGregor for his role as well.
Cheech & chongs are classic smoking movies:laugh_at:
City of Gods a good film if you dont mind watching the violence side- not many films out there documenting the ghettos of S America cities

    wheres ”the buisness”!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :surprised
