UK : 2 outdoor rave videos from 2004 I recovered from my old channel May moot Hampshire, SE England (2012 re-edit; the original edit I did in 2005 had the long VT clock as there wasn't any youtube then and broadband was new, some folk didn't have computers that could play back video but usually had a VHS player connected to the TV) - to get best quality you would record colour bars for about 30 seconds then the VT clock as the tape transport needed time to reach the correct speed and synchronisation.
The video camera I used also recorded to tape (I still have it although the tape transport is dodgy; thankfully I managed to ingest the video to various hard drives before it chewed up the originals which was a great hassle with portable video cameras).

Testing UTF-8 console on Windows 10 Ubuntu shell I couldn't get this to work for shit on native Windows Visual studio for a Windows console app even though the characters seemed to cut and paste OK (although according to "various Chineses" on the MSDN forums this has always been a problem).
it is still a pain having to enter the UTF-8 codes by hand for the special characters,
I had to change the shell font for one which also contained the Asian characters; and add extra space in the teapot for the tea to "breathe" (or the console doesn't display this character properly)
This also mangles the look of the extra European letters - unless is that meant to be ø and æ in Danish with a Chinese accent?
I can't even tell as the PC brigade removed Shun Gon's lyrics from the Danish version of the Aristocats :laugh_at:
There is probably a better way of doing this but I'm unlikely to end up coding apps for a Chinese takeaway in Denmark anyway as I am sure there are thousands of folk smarter than me who have already written much better ones...
Five men collapse after taking legal highs in Rochdale Both branded products that are mentioned so what is actually in them idk but I'm pretty certain "cherry bombs" are npot synthetic cannabinoids.

John Peel Is Not Enough Accidentally posted this over at partyvibe.com:
Hi all
I am from Cornwall, England (home of Aphex Twin) and I think my first exposure to electronic music was a Jurgen Vries CD I bought at a car boot sale when I was 12 or something. I listed to some crap music through my teens (didn't we all?) but also got into happy hardcore, starting off with some of the cheesier sounds but soon earned an appreciation for all styles of hardcore right back to the bouncy tracks from the early 90's.
I now listen to a whole bunch of electronic music depending on mood and activity but it tends to always be above a 140BPM. DnB, UK Hardcore, breaks, fidgit, trance, psytrance, garage etc. Going out around here is a little frustrating because the DJs are not brave enough to throw on -- or perhaps have no appreciation for -- kick drum led tracks above 140BPM. I can appreciate a good house song but it is a proper tease not having anything even a little harder.
I was living closer to the Devon border before and managed to get to some free parties which were good craic. First one I got to was Digga Sound System and it was fucking mint. I almost got to UKTek when it was on Dartmoor a few years back but after blagging it through the police roadblock I got to the party to find loads of people trying to hitch home and the sound systems turned down to a minimum :( And all the years since I have forgotten about it until it is too late :(
Anyway, glad to see this forum still has life in it. I set up a forum of my own about 10 years ago and activity has dropped loads (partly my own fault) -- in some ways it feels as if we've seen the golden age of internet communities. But enough rambling, I am off to post! :weee:
