You say there isn’t a divide yet spend most of your post on about differences.

Its isn’t your problem a book is being judged by it’s cover, i don’t blink an eyelid and know many people from loadsa cultures that can mix and have a great mash-up together.

I dunt see no difference between the 2, in my eyes itz not a seperated groups of chavs and bumpkins dat go 2 parties.Theres only 1 group of ppl and there called RAVERS! We all come 4 the same reason, im nt 1 2 judge a person 4 wot he/she listens 2,wot clothes they wear etc.

some people may dress like chavs (well I normally wear cheap sportswear most of the time) but act decently and have some respect for people who have respect for me….

“bumpkin” parties aren’t necessarily safer anyway, nor are those who attend them any “softer”.

Not every area outside Londonistan is rural (Reading certainly isn’t, nor is most of Ipswich!) – even if people don’t rob one another as much its easy enough to think of an excuse for a fight when there is a large group of blokes around all out of their heads and competing with one another.

maybe thats the way things are going just like on the streets everywhere in this country – everyones angry these days and wants to take the fight back to those who piss them off – but raves were once an escape from this..

I think that its plain and simple. if you do not want to go to a party to have a good time and listen to the music that they play there, dont complain about it and tell them that they are pussys and not ‘rudeboys’, simply dont even go if you dont enjoy it, as the point of a party is to enjoy yourself. let there be love and one harmony man, if it aint your thing, just go get pissed at the club or whatever, im sure youd enjoy that more!

and for those who want to fight there’s always the garage/grime scene where people made a concious decision to abandon the positive music and go for the “gangsta image” – fighting is apparently part of the “rave!” for them!
