I reckon youtube will only last a year or so in its present format, before it starts to have to apply “selective censorship” for the audiences in each country it is accessible within…

If youtube or any of these “web 2.0” file sharing places get the right paperwork from a law enforcement authority they will hand over any details the cops ask for without questioning it. This has already been used in England on a number of occasions.

The brand image, reputation and advertising revenue of all these sites depends on co-operating with the laws of each country the content can be seen in…

However In the case of the chap trying to rob the liquor store that clip is more likely to disappear due to copyright as it is obvious it comes from one of those “reality crime” shows…
