at least mice are not classed as unclean animals for Muslims…. and he wasn’t on a flight to a Western nation or it would be full-on terrorist alert (they would probably think the mice had some sort of virus)..
he could stil get in a lot of trouble though; although he is perfectly entitled to take his pet mice on holiday, each mouse requires a passport!
