      AUS – My Sentimental Friend – Herman’s Hermits

      UK – Ernie (The Fastest Milkman In The West) – Benny Hill :yakk:

      US – Brand New Key – Melanie

      AUS – Imagine – John Lennon

      UK = Red Red Wine – UB40

      US = Maniac – Michael Sembello

      AUS = Australiana – Austen Tayshus

      Well i only actually know one the UK song 😉 Also WTF is the Aussie song about? Sounds a bit strange :you_crazy

      UK = True – Spandau Ballet

      The Specials – Ghost Town :weee:

      Listening now

      On my 18th birthday ‘Dub be good to me’ by Beats International was number one. I recall it getting very heavy rotation on the radio at the time. I also remember being at work, and when the track finished, the radio DJ explained what all the funny noises were at the end…..A very pipe and slippers discription of scratching followed.

      My wife was also born when Ernie, the fastest milkman in the West was number 1 in the hit parade.

      You win again – the beegees! Funny coz one of them has a very large house where i live and it backs on to the river. You always see him walking about when your fishing.
