it wasn’t just the Prodigy though, sometimes it would be Shades of Rhythm or any of the “rave” artists who managed to crossover to the charts during that time.

ITV’s attitude to raves was well prejudiced in the 90s (especially after they tried to cash in on the boom and fucked up) and still is..

A fair few people should ring up Capital one and say “I’ve just seen your advert and was thinking of getting your card, but does that mean if I used your card to (legitimately) buy music equipment you’d flag a security alert on it and piss off the suppliers (who would be para about not getting their money?)”

See how they respond then..

I’ve just rung em and tried it but they didn’t bite and instead the person told me that the advertising isn’t nething to do with his dept plus said he didn’t know what i was on about, still tried to flog a deal tho! I hung up at that point cos i got bored and a little scared.:you_crazy
