The bagleys reminiscence thread reminded me of a mischief I did myself there once.

Dancing away on the blocks in the middle of the main room, happy as a pig in shit. What I didn’t realise was the block I was dancing on had come away from the block in front if it, in fact it hadn’t occurred to me that it was made up of individual blocks at all. Anyways I fell down the gap between the blocks which wasn’t wide enough to fall down properly, just enough for me to catch my shin on the block in front and remove about 3 inches of skin from my shin bone.

I don’t think I even registered how bad it was, just got up and carried on dancing until someone pointed at my leg and said ‘shit are you ok?’ my whole leg was red with blood. I spend half an hour lying outside (in the freezing cold) while helpful ravers poured water on my leg. Eventually some guy ripped the sleeve off his shirt and tied it round my leg and I carried on. Why I thought that was a suitable hygienic solution to the problem I’ll never know. :crazy_diz

Ewww that’s vile :yakk: I saw someone do that down a pothole once, but the opening was only big enough for one leg. She didn’t rip lots of skin off her leg though it was quite funny.

I broke my ankle trying to climb a ridge to find a weeing place at Surprise View. I’d drank a bottle of wine and was coming up off a fat bomb of md so I just carried on dancing (and hobbling) all night. And then had to do a 10 hour shift at work 😥

My worse rave related injury was when i tried to climb over a barbed wire fence whilst under the influence of K.

I managed to go myself on it but as i came down i fell and ended up with the wire wrapped tightly round my legs. The sharp bits ripped the fuck out of my legs and i had to be rescued by about 6 people! I was so fucked that night i didn’t feel a thing but the next day i was in agony. The worse bit was after being freed i then fell in a stinging nettle bush. The gods were not with me that night!!! :crazy_diz

bruises and minor cuts from actualy raves .. i been quite lucky wish some of the states i have been in lol … had my nose broken in 3 places by a group of asailents out side my friends house b4 we even managed to leave to a party once .. that was nasty …

my friend put his hand through a window at a squat party once with out even realising till some one told him what he had done :laugh_at:

I have nightmares about falling in nettles. When I have to walk past a big bush of them I get knots in my stomach. :hopeless:

that reminds me .. i was at a multi rigger out in the sticks some where and was tring to find the other sound system .. thought i had found a short cut ..but soon realised the reason people were walking round the edges of this field was cos there was loads of barbed wire fencing and i walked right into it cutting up my legs and arms …

spent the majoraty of the rest of the night running up and down the fence making sure no one else walked into it :laugh_at:

yeah I’m the same now. I get a shivery feeling whenever i see em. I remember after falling in that bush when i got back i found a stinging nettle leaf and stalk in my pocket and it stung the fuck out of me!! Thank god for dock leafs eh!! raaaraaa

not really done any damage to myself while out partying, most of the damage seemed to occur when i got home and nailed loads of k. Once came back from this party, went straight to bed did a bit of ket, then woke up the next morning with a massive gash down my back, proper yellow and black bruise and blood all on the sheets, and i still to this day have no idea how it happened :you_crazy:

I was heading to the car park at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland (kinda like a mini glasto), anyway I was dying for a pee and i ran over to the bushes so no one could see and didn’t see the ditch behind me and started to un do my jeans. I lost my footing and fell start back into in. Lucky I had my pants still on! Anyway I fell onto all these nettle and rose bushes. After three days of raving I was lying there like an un side down turtle and couldnt move. My bf went looking for me but my phone had died. I tried and tried to get up but couldnt get my footing and i had rose thorns all over my back.

The only way i finally got out was to grap these throny bushes and just pull myself up covered in blood. I was there for 20mins. Well I cried like a baby and Kev had to pick thorns out of my back and arms for days.

reminds me.. girl i was with at a party once went for a piss in the bushes, i then heard a scream and she came running back saying she had just got a stinging nettle in quite a delicate place! i didnt find it funny at all.. 😉 :laugh_at:

Well I suppose it was the last day of the festival but I have never felt pain like it. At least my lady bits were ok.
