it costs about £50 and although I’m sure people in SW England like to eat as much as we do I don’t think a small group like that is gonna be that hungry – might be the dude exaggerating but thats also stupid as it does make it look like his event is bigger than it is.
if it had been round here they would probably have arrested him if he was stubborn about things (mind you they probably wouls if he hadn’t closed down the party..) I’ve seen houseparties in this area closed down by cops before, maybe not so many units used but they have been quite strict about it. As for facebook, its not even there is this big surveillance team, its more that the local grasses give the guys name, copper asks “does he use facebook?” and as most people are on FB with their real names its hardly a lot of detective work to find them 😉
The Courts even fined this family in Norfolk for their wedding party a few years ago as they had had some rave DJ’s there and invited a fair few people and it wasn’t licensed. Again all because locals complained. As harsh as cops can be, they still usually only act because a local has grassed up the event. In the case of the Norfolk party the families own neighbours had made formal legal statements complainign the party got out of hand…
