TBH it seems like basic common sense not to tease animals in countries where they can (and do) eat people… India (particularly modernised areas) actually has some very strict animal protection rules, circuses and performing animals are banned – quite often when they make Bollywood movies with scenes of performing animals they go to England or Europe to shoot these scenes to get around the laws!
