  • I know I am!!! COYS!!!!

Hell yeah mate, can’t wait, 1 month today & it’s all back on. Woo-fuckin’-hoo!

Reckon you yids could have a good season too, especially now it looks like vdv’s gonna stay. Who knows, Villas-Boas might actually give him the opportunity to complete 90 minutes, unlike ‘Arry.

not a great footy fan myself, I used to watch it with mates but when I gave up cannabis I also gave up gawping at the idiot-lantern (two things which aren’t lethal but sap a lot of your time and as I get older i dont’ have as much spare time as before).

Voetbal is a great passion of the Dutch so I always see articles on the teams when reading the news sites for language practice. if there are any teams you chaps are curious about let me know the names I and I might be able to translate a few local articles…

    yes 🙂

I try to keep up with what’s happening in the Eredivisie myself as it goes, and saw a very strange story today that Ajax were interested in taking Scott Dann on loan from Blackburn. I know Vertonghen’s gone now, but jesus! The papers get very bored this time of year & just write any old crap!

Did anyone watch the Portland – la galaxy match the other night? Was epic, gave me hope the Americans can play football lol

I quite like watching the footie, used to always go to the pub, but 1) too expensive these days 2) it always ends in a fight (in the pubs I used to go to or outside) so tend to just watch on the tv – better now I have a slightly bigger one !!

My other half is a Leicester city fan and he usually has to listen to it on the radio / highlights as they dont get on the tv that often 😛

we used to play the local broadcasts (Reading, on BBC radio) in the squats on a arrangement of cheap tatted loudspeakers (mostly recovered out of busted equipment) – even by that time you needed a murdochbox to get most matches on telly and they don’t deliver them to squats 😉

One set of speakers played the BBC commentary, the other set was connected to a radio scanner tuned to TVP Silver Command (from where the cops monitored the activities of hooligans). this was often as entertaining (and sometimes more so) than the match itself.

Yes cant wait! Come on you gunners. YID SCUM!

Under the political correctness act you can’t say that, after the clearly raging homosexual Emmanuel frimpong said it….mind you, he also said he’s soft with the ladies and hard with the men.

Also do your homework on ‘arsenal’ or should I say woolwich, your homeless wandering wannabes

Robin van persie….he leaves when he wants!!!!!

    Nice mate!

I get very passionate about my team lol its got me in trouble quite a lot hahaha but yeah, if wenger can’t keep hold of his best players, ie. Rvp in particular, I highly doubt he’ll keep the faith of the fans or the chairman. I think wengers problem Is he’s far too tight with transfers…much like Daniel levy.

Who have arsenal for there opening fixture? I know we’ve got Newcastle, that’ll be a siick match I reckon.

The Gooners are at home to sunderland mate, got draw written all over it, lol.

As for the Wenger issue mate, I reckon the board there are happy to qualify for the champions league every season & don’t care if they win any trophies. Being in the CL = big money. Signing players for £500 000 & selling em for £20 mill = big money. None of this ever seems to get re-invested in the squad, but Wenger & the board are living very comfortable lives. Had u boys not had such a disastrous end to the season & you’d pipped em to 3rd place, I reckon the situation might have been different & Wenger woulda been sacked, but instead, he’s actaully spent some serious money for him, Podolski & Giroud weren’t cheap. It’d be an amusing paradox if Wenger’s big money buys turn out to be rubbish!

I for one don’t rate podolski as highly as he’s made out to be, giroud I’ve not seen enough of to make a comment. Arsenal don’t need strikers, they need a back 4, cause let’s face it, there utter shite. And czszczshczczszney……since when did keepers start mouthin off? He’s a very bad example of how a keeper should present themselves, you don’t see cech or pepe don’t it……
