  • Just thought i’d get a little thread going to see what everyone at PV drives!
Post pics, Favourite things about it etc etc

    I’ll start off;
Well I used to drive a VW Polo 1.4L (Dark Green) but crashed that a year ago and haven’t had a car since as I was living in Uni accomodation. It was the best car ever and all my friends used to love coming for drive in it with me. It was christened ‘The Green Machine’, but unfortunately I crashed it head on on a narrow country lane :/

This week I am getting a new car! 🙂 I am getting another VW Polo but this time it is a 1.6L GTi and I am getting it in red. I just love the look of the car and the alloys it comes standard with. Can’t wait, just waiting for my pay cheque to clear and then i’ll be off to get it! :weee:

    MG ZR right now

But, I have owned in the past

    Several Fiesta’s mk1-3s ( XR2s, Flights and basic ones )
    Couple of Orions mk1s
    couple of Escorts mk2s
    Mazda 323
    Frontera
    Peugeot 206
    Peugeot 309
    MG Maestro

Sure there are a few others I cant recall right now and many others I drove but didnt own ( friends, GFs and works cars )

All pretty low budget cost ranging from £45-£3600, best by far IMO was the Mazda 323 Hatch ( NOT the so called fastback model ), would still have it if it hadnt been written off lol

    I don’t drive.

    I drive other people mental!

Evo1 / 92 Honda civic / 96 honda civic and 2001 volvo took a mint hit to the wall hahaha break fail =) and t-boned Subaru forestor at moment

for years (even as a little boy) I wanted a MG

though of course I need a license and realistically I am looking at some time in 2013 – I don’t want to rush things and take it before I’m ready as thats why I failed last time (many years ago) and if its a really harsh winter it will delay the tests, .. now I’m just thinking “nah, they have various reliability problems” (notorious for cylinder head gasket) – so even though I like to be patriotic (I am English by birth but part Chinese by ancestry so it would be doubly patriotic :laugh_at:) and there is the new MG coming out in 2013 I will probably end up buying a German or Japanese car, and maybe even diesel (if I am going to drive it would be for longer distances like to London or SE England or to rural areas, not just to go to town)

I have a micra, had to buy a car that was reliable as was driving on the M25 everyday, hate it, had it less than a yr and BMW crashed in to it and they didnt write it off, then someone else hit it whilst I was away, then a 4×4 hit it recently…. a theme going on here….

best car was a mini cooper, very fast and fun to drive, and had a corsa that was also fun but would break down loads!!

my other vehicle is a Merc 208:

and I love love love diving her!! I’ve done some more to the insides this last weekend – shall have to put some more pics up!

I drive my wife up the wall

Does a skateboard count as driving?

well… i drive a “flame gold” 1.0 toyota yaris, witha black (only primered) bonnet, primered front bumper, which are barely hanging on, and a fair few bumps and scratches… however, hes called Vladamir (Vlad for short), and is the best car out of most mates, however i cant really make a fair judgement seeing as my first car i wrote off joyriding before my test… yep, silly…. and this is only car ive driven properly, but he got the nickname because hes like a little russian soldier. just keeps on going, got us down every shady little track we have wanted to explore 😀
its a pile of crap, but i love my little car!

lol reminds me of the sort of vehicles my mates drove in the early 90s.

I’m really glad I waited till I’d calmed down a bit before actually getting a full license, a car in my teens/20s would either have literally driven me deeper into trouble, either that or if it had made me settle down, I would have attracted a partner what would have somehow convinced me to become a dad, and today I’d be dealing with subsidising my kids motoring expenses as well as thinking of my own (and thus having way less to spend on sound equipment and other stuff) :laugh_at:

I blew another engine so Im on foot, only 2 days so far and it’s freaking me out, dont think Ive been without a car for 2 consecutive days in the last 20 years and it could be another 2 or 3 days before Im back on the road, not sure I can handle it aarrrrrghhhhhhhh

    I drive a Honda Rebel.

TBH I dont even know if it was made in the UK, MG certainly arent British owned any more so my choice had nothing to do with being patriotic lol MG ZR is the same chassis & body as the Rover 400 only with sporty kit & interior and some nice tweaks underneath that make it a firmer faster ride, a week ago I would have recommended this car, a lot of bang for your buck and reliable……… BUT that all changed a few days ago when I cooked it and now it’s going to cost me a fortune to fix.

I still think my Mazda was was the best car I ever had, cheap, basic yet a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Id still have it if it hadnt been w/o and if I had the money I would get another one.
