Presentation ideas pwease =) i've got to do a 5 minute straight presentation infront of my class next week for my college course.
it has to be science based, rather interesting and my tutor gave me the hint of using 'lots of pictures and photographs'
i'm kinda baffeled on what to do it on, i am a incredibily NERVOUS person when it comes to talking to groups of people so anything that will kind of flow and get over with will be good for me.
i was thinking an idea of doing something about music, how everybody has a taste in music, how it effects us and why it is soo pleasing? but like i said im not really to sure where to start or what to start on.
any help will be greatly appriciated, thank you.

Stonehenge lecture hall at Stonehenge College University was a large area outside the Double Bluestone Horseshoe used for instruction. Unlike the inside Double Bluestone Horseshoe traditional Stonehenge classroom having a small capacity, the capacity of Stonehenge lecture hall outside the Double Bluestone Horseshoe measured in the hundreds. Stonehenge lecture hall had a pitched bank so those in the rear were elevated higher than those in the front, giving them visual access to the Bluestone blackboards and instructor. Stonehenge classroom at Stonehenge College University was a smaller area room inside Double Bluestone Horseshoe where teaching and learning activities took place. Interesting enough Stonehenge lecture hall and Stonehenge classroom each had their own large writing surface areas because of Double Bluestone Horseshoe, where the Bluestone blackboard Stonehenge lecture hall instructor and Bluestone chalkboard classroom instructor shared knowledge and notes with other members of classes. Lecture and classroom instructors taught simultaneously.

Got my exam results back… Scraped through yet another term with just enough marks to get into honours. Go me....especially seeing as I never went to any classes for two of my subjects as by the time I found out where they were I didn't want to sneak into a class of 12.

College interview Monday ok well like the title says, i've decided that looking for dead end agency/factory jobs have pissed me off enough, realising that i wanna do a little more with my life, i've decided to go back to college, seeing as i'm only 20 i should still be in education.
i was debating about whether to do an Access to Medicine course or Access to Natural science, both are just as demanding as A-levels and are known qualifications to get into universities with. i've only applied for the Access to natural Science so far, because i believe studying knowledge about animals/enviroment/evolution/space/the human body etc etc is soo fascinating and the facts are endless!!!
but i got a letter through the post yesterday saying that they would like me to attent an interview on monday, it says that the interview will be between 2 and 3 hours long, there will be a induction seeing in as to why i would like to do the course, then there is something saying about doing an written and/or skills assessment...............i don't know what that's gunna be about, is that like testing you to see if you have basic english and maths skills? or will they be testing me on basic science knowledge?? any help would be appriciated!!!!
yeah so basically i'm shitting myself, i really wanna get into this course and i don't wanna mess up, lifes been pretty damm akward at the moment, haven't had a decent job in 6 months, i need one, haven't had a fag now for almost 5 weeks and i need myself a nice girlfriend!!! lol.
sorry to rant on but, this is pretty important to me and i believe that this is my last chance at doing something i wanna do, if i don't get in i thin its gunan be dead-end jobs for life :hopeless:

Woooo college i have eventually escaped where 17 year olds are treated under a system designed for 12 year olds thank god i fucking hated school...but now life has begin at at college i offically start on the 27th :D.....plannin on meetin of plenty of party and drug peole..i allready know a pill supplier woo :D maybe some good hookups for partys if i am lucky... wooo :D:D

off with the person sitting to his or her immediate right. As homework tonight, one of you will write the first paragraph of a short story. You will e-mail your partner that paragraph and send another copy to
me. The partner will read the first paragraph and then add another paragraph to the story
and send it back, also sending another copy to me. The first person will then add a third paragraph, and so on back-and-forth. Remember to re-read what has been written each time in order to keep the

THE STORY

At first, Laurie couldn't decide which kind of tea she wanted. The chamomile, which used to be her favorite for lazy evenings at home, now reminded her too much of Carl, who once said, in happier times, that he liked chamomile. But she felt she must now, at all costs, keep her mind off Carl. His possessiveness was suffocating, and if she thought about him too much her asthma started acting up again. So chamomile was out of the question.

Meanwhile, Advance Sergeant Carl Harris, leader of the attack squadron now in orbit over Skylon 4, had more important things to think about than the neuroses of an air-headed asthmatic bimbo named
Laurie with whom he had spent one sweaty night over a year ago. "A.S. Harris to Geostation 17," he
said into his transgalactic communicator. "Polar orbit established. No sign of resistance so far..." But before he could sign off a bluish particle beam flashed out of nowhere and blasted a hole through his ship's cargo bay. The jolt from the direct hit sent him flying out of his seat and across the cockpit.

Northern College "lecturers" whinge.. NB: most of this info relates only to the UK.

It appears to have come from a "college lecturer" or "educationalist"
in the North of England.
Some of the points are valid (although the now-discredited "dain bramage" report is cited!); but despite claiming not to be the tone of this comes across as rather judgemental.
I am also concerned at the implied suggestion that college tutors or admin staff should be recording details of peoples drug use; IMO this work should only be done by trained medical professionals in the NHS, and be kept as confidential as your other medical records would be.
How do they know that someone just dropped out due to drug use or for other reasons? And would this information potentially be passed to the Police?
Its worth considering though that stuff like this shows that non-Police public bodies such as UK colleges are now taking an interest in peoples activities outside the campus.... It is worth keeping an eye on "initiatives" like this.
Incidentally whoever wrote it was not even prepared to put a name (or even an alias) to their work. Whilst its understandable "our side" use aliases sometimes (after all we could be accused of "assisting with illegal activities - one would expect the "antis" to not have this paranoia - especially as they claim the "moral/legal high ground"
Mind you, the author appears to have a lot of problems with spelling and grammar for an "educationalist"; I hope he/she is not an English teacher!
