for frenchtek I am not sure, normally the info comes out around now but because of last years problems (which some people allege were deliberately caused by people who did not want the festival to succeed) the French authorities are delaying it.
also euro-raves (ironically, more so on the the EU side of the iron curtain!) and alternative lifestyles are being stopped because of middle Europe’s paranoia over drugs / declining youth morals / risk of conflicts (bear in mind many EU countries have had riots and the Iraq war is causing problems with multicultural societies as everyone takes sides).
Some people are organising a manifestation (gathering) to show that raves are mostly peaceful and protest the clampdowns.

If you do attend this please try to keep it peaceful, or you will defeat the whole idea of why it is happening. Also euro-cops have guns, real ones – all the time, not just on special occasions like here in Britain!
