Unique 3’s Left of Centre night was one of the North East’s most successful leftfield breaks nights, running at the Middlesborough Arena, the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Skully, EZ Rollers, Dee Kline and many more kept the club going every saturday. With the Arena’s closure and Unique 3’s relocation back to London, the time has come to re-launch the night and provide London with some old fashioned northern hospitality.

Now running at Jacks, one of London’s best kept secrets, a two room venue, hidden away under the railway arches near London Bridge, Left of Centre can expand to cater for all forms of funk fuelled leftfield music, from dusty 45s to the latest broken beat or drum and bass twelve.

Kicking the night off in style we have assembled an incredible lineup, from Ninja Tune’s premier beat technician DJ Food and twice World DMC Champion DJ Woody, to pioneers of the breaks sound such as Depth Charge and our own Unique 3.

In between we have the world class hip-hop stylings of The Herbaliser, the latin influenced broken beats of Tru-Thoughts Diesler, Radio 1xtra’s drum and bass star L Double and Ed DMX, whose releases for Rephlex and his own Breakin label were seminal in the re-emergence of electro, who will be playing an exclusive set of vintage electro, hip-hop and hip-house.
