so just got a random sex ad pop up and pretty sure got some shit on my computer which shouldn’t be on here as the only site i’m on is partyvibe on google chrome and it opened randomly in IE. my anti virus software expired and i downloaded some crappy replacement which i doubt even does much at all. so my question is anyone know of any decent free anti virus software i can download, don’t want another computer to die through a virus.

just after i wrote this IE opened again and it had the title ‘anti virus’ and links to anti virus stuff. pretty obvious what it that’s infected my computer! don’t even know why the sex one came up as haven’t been on any shit like that or wrote anything about sex on here as far as i’m aware.

I use Avast, its free and seems to do a good job, had no problems in over a year.

avg or avast are about the only free antivirus things worth getting, i’d allso get spybot search and distroy as well as i don’t think them two cover spyware. if neither of them get rid of it then try google the name of what pops up and try find if there’s a specific way of removing that perticuler virus. if that don’t work i’ll chat to u on msn see if i can help more.

make sure that you have a proper pop-blocker extention, click to flash(makes you in control of all flash objects), and ad-blocker in your browser, and you do not get this shite…and you should be aware of that when you use chrome that all you do on the net is stored at a google server, my suggestion is to change to firefox

Hi Poly ,
Any luck getting rid of that pesky pop up ….or cos of the x crank you decided things aint so bad lol . I use AVG but pay for the full thing , but you can get avg free or on a trial i think . Good luck getting virus free .
