Actually I’d’ve gone quite far for an aston db5/6/7 or an old lotus or a new tvr or a nice jag (evil guzzling out-dated unneccessary things that they are – I got a jeckly and hyde thing bout cars, love em intensley but know I shouldn’t ! ! ! Soooooo naughty but nice! ! ! Argggghhhhhh :bounce_fl

He used to spend so long under cars (fixin em, back when people did that kind of thing), i used to recognise him mainly by his feet!:groucho:

havent actually got a car at the mo, tho i been drivin my old mans spare, for the last 6 months. Unfortunately, its about to be sold.:cry: Means i don’t have to drive to parties tho!

Isn’t it fun when your underpowered compared to the bigger bikes and you still go flying past them in the bends raaa ( i used to love doing it with a full set of panniers) :laugh_at:

oh, alright, its pretty grim in 5th and 6th actually:yakk: , havin about half the power of my previous Honda. And its awful on motorways, cos i’ve got the unfaired one.

I bought it when i was livin in London, cos my VFR750 was killin my wrists. The CB is a great urban bike, cos its got fantasic handling, and its quite uprite.:love:

i could get somethin else for real blasts, i guess, but the CB is my 2nd ‘bulletproof’ Honda (i wouldn’t buy another make now), and speed cameras make me nervous(i only got my licence back a year ago).

i really don’t think its under powered, mate, its an urban bike, and you don’t need 100bhp round town. if you wanna go really quickly, buy summat else. Thats like slagging off a Ducati, for not being practical/reliable/economical (ie thats not the point).

Anyways, i went to the bulldog bash, bout 10 years ago, on my GPZ500.

we went in to the nearest town, to do some shoppin, on the sat. on the way back i actuallly got overtaken by a bloke on a c90…:yakk:

He just came from nowhere, stuffed it down the inside, neat as u like, i nearly had a heart attack. i had to wait a couple of miles for a straight to sort him, cos it was a pretty windy road, which he knew. Humiliating, or what!:hopeless:

Fortunately he did a couple of mates an all, so i wasnt the only one takin a barrackin.

Another time, i was on my sisters VF500, and i had a bloke on an (old) triumph put some manners on me, on a fast A-road near Leicester. Again, he knew the road, and i didn’t wanna drop my sisters immaculate (pink, purple and white) bike.

It was the fact that he had a pillion, who gave me the finger, which really pissed me off…:hopeless:
