On a related note, my 360 just died (my third one). Bloody xbox pieces of crap.

It’s just one red light this time and it seems there is a way to fix it if you can be arsed and have the time.

Might just buy another one though. Pretty disgusting that Microsoft are allowed to get away with it though.

Yeah, first one broke after about 8 months. Second one didn’t even work so I took it back to shp straight away. Third one has just gone after about 8 months.

So unfortunately I’m no longer covered by the warranty as they say the warranty is current from when you buy the first one. Load of rubbish if you ask me.

Xbox will fix for free within 3 years if you get the 3 red lights of doom but you have to send off and wait for a few weeks. Mine has only got 1 red light this time so I’m stuffed.

It’s not the people that make them in the factory, it’s a shit design flaw. There are videos that show you how to fix the problem I have but it involves a fair bit of messing around inside the xbox and adding modifications and I just can’t be arsed.

I think the design flaw has been sorted now in the newer models. If i remember rightly it was a shit solder they used for the circuitry. Btw what colour disc tray is on your xbox, is it silver? 😉

Nah, it’s the GPU overheating and not being cooled properly. They have made some advancements which means it’s less likely to happen in the newer models but it hasn’t stopped the prob.

Mines silver. Are the newer ones the same colour as the box because I’m now about to go buy one and I want to see it in the box before I leave the shop.
