  • I’m not talking about the day to day “you’re going to find luck behind a red door” horoscopes.

I mean the link between star signs and personalitys, compatability.
    All that side of it.

    Share your thoughts??
Do you think it’s all abit wank or not?

    I’m a libra =]

Well Im a facts and figures kinda person usually. I dont like to make a strong opinion for something I dont know enough about. And I definitely dont deny things I cannot prove otherwise with evidence for or against it.

Star signs are a funny one though. Ive read some detailed books specific upto the time and place of my birth, and Ive found them to be very accurate.

People will argue that people will make a connection with whatever they subconsciously want to. This is why many people take note of the shit monthly ones in the papers. They are general to accommodate anyone’s month.

Ive thought alot about other people’s signs, and how their supposed personality is suppose to be, and have found it to be very accurate. Its strangely true.

Alot of people think Its all bollocks though, but I think they should realise the fact that they aint got alot of real evidence to prove against It, as much as I have real evidence to prove it. I think there’s alot of unexplainable things in this universe and human kinds biggest flaw is thinking we know everything about anything. Just look back a few 100 years ago when we thought the world was flat, and were too stubborn to listen to evidence against that theory.

    Btw, Im Libra too 😉

well i know when the sun rises i get outta bed

after seeing some derren Brown program i now think the whole star sign things total and utter bollocks (no offence if people belive it).
He got a group of six or so people together then asked then to give him some personal belonging and a tracing of their left hand, he then went off and wrote an ‘individual’ report to give back to each of them on there persolanity traits etc. he did this in about 3/4 different countries. They all read it and where going on about how it was amazing someone could read them so well and get them so spot on. and the end of the program he revealed that all of the desciptions were all exactly the same…
i used to sort of belive in there might be some truth in star signs, not after watching that…

Theres a grain of truth in astrology but not the traditional stuff.

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Gauquelin and the Mars Effect : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_effect

    Interesting stuff.

Although he always remained highly critical of astrology in general, his attitude towards its existence changed as his studies progressed in the study of the diurnal cycle, which is related to the astrological houses.

“Subsequent results only confirmed and amplified my initial discovery about the physicians. On the whole, it emerged that there was an increasingly solid statistical link between the time of birth of great men and their occupational success. … Having collected over 20,000 dates of birth of professional celebrities from various European countries and from the United States, I had to draw the unavoidable conclusion that the position of the planets at birth is linked to one’s destiny. What a challenge to the rational mind!”[2] (Neo-Astrology, 1991)
The computerized analysis of the natal charts of the famous and less renown in various career fields was done on the computers of Neil Michelsen’s Astro Computing Service, in the late ’70s, in San Diego, California.

    and this..

“A major study was undertaken by the Committee for the Study of Paranormal Phenomenon (Comité pour l’Étude des Phénomènes Paranormaux, or CFEPP) in France. The protocol used was one agreed to in advance by Gauquelin before his untimely death in 1991. The results of the study, published in 1993, were that there is no evidence whatsoever of a “Mars Effect” in the births of athletes (Benski, et al. 1993:13, 15)”.

So im still not convinced im afraid.
