OK, after a few years abroad/being boring I’m ready to be lively again for a bit. I’ve been away from London for a bit so what areas would you recommend for good music/atmosphere? Brixton was getting a bit dark last time I went (admittedly a while back). I’ll be living near Vauxhall and hear that’s fun. The pills seem to have been rubbish for ages (one reason for some time off) – have things got any better?

pills are still pretty wank. although there has been some decent ones floating around- but youll have to pay abit more for them. like a fiver a pill or something

i loved london i was in brixton and vauxhall mainly but saw load i didnt want to come home have a mate there called chum no will chumley but yeah i know big plance so wont know him but barrow in furness cumbria lakes it nice but very boring lol

Great – thanks all. Think I’ll give Vauxhall a try – let you know how I get on. Was just wondering where the underground was now…not fpr poncey reasons – just that friendly places with atmosphere are what its all about no? Some friends tell me its all Meth now, which cant be a good thing. Or am I old fashioned?

Tried Vauxhall last night. Great atmos – Gay Pride day meant there were lots of people about. But personally I found it all a bit dark and definitely unfriendly. Most people seemed to be on drone and that was all we could get hold of – not my thing at all. Also found the music a bit heavy. We met a few people who said places round London Bridge were a bit more ‘back in the day’. Anyone tried round there?
