I saw that, but there are government involvement….+ all the references they do not show….I would block them…its enough with bing, yahoo and google, we have no guarantee that they do not miss use what they find….

I recently started using fail2ban which does a great job of watching logs for errors and blocking bad behavior by port such as email, ftp, ssh, web (bad bots, probing, auth errors)…

that is true, though when we had to moderate the lad from Kent bragging about selling pills I pointed out that the feds don’t even need to use bots (good or bad), a single angry person who is against drugs or parties can simply watch this forum and report info back to the cops better than any bots could, especially if they know the UK rave or youth culture.

when I was doing raves in SE England in 2000s there was people my age openly calling the Police to them and giving their full name to the papers – in 1992 they would not be confident to do that as they would get their windows sprayed blacked out with paint for being grasses – I’m not saying that it was is a good thing to do as these people reporting the raves were young parents whose kids were actualy being kept awake by badly chosem venues, but underground scenes no longer have tolerance or power in this country, and everyone has their own agenda and power to report things they see on line they disagree with…

even in the mainstream there was this UK prison officer who had faked his own death and went on a big foreign holiday with his wife using the insurance payout.

the whole team of detectives were following him but missed out loads of photos he uploaded to photobucket of the holiday, a single mother (perhaps the girlfriend of a prisoner?) notified the cops and it was the main bit of evidence to get him caught – no “bad bots” used, just one person with a grudge (or even simply wanting to see their idea of justice done…)
