  • i was ill, it was very very busy, old bill were sound, all rigs out ok, far tooo much bum & face, good atmosphere.

Very fun night! Our local thing got busted twice so was lucky a random old mate turned up with free seats down to bristol. Spent midnight at services again though. Really busy party, saw some old frenchtek missions crew which was cool and haven’t seen that many friendly gurned faces at a party in a long time. Music was bit shit for me far too much jump up DnB, Vandal’s set was wicked as always though. Spent most of the night having random jokes and chatting shit to people though so all good. Lots of weird and wonderfull crazy Somerset bumpkins kept me entertained.. Apparantly there was quite a lot of trouble, I seemed to miss this apart a guy getting bottled infront of our car after it finished, a fair fw sketchy people milling about though but not a lot done about it. Shame about the early finish, but heard it was for for good reasons.

yeah it was for good reasons, tbh i was sooooooo ill i had to jump in a mates car & come home to bed i was done in, didnt see any trouble when i was there, doing centre parties at that time of year can attract twats, but there was more than enough sound people there to sort any indiscretions, yeah far too much bum & face!

TBH the trouble is affecting the whole nation and its also because in townie places twats can not just be ejected very quickly but the bar staff can often pick up a UHF radio (often a far better one then even the bouncers have as it uses a repeater) and notify details to “nightwatch” and the offenders get stalked through the whole town by CCTV scheme and barred out of everywhere. This is the only reason townie nightlife is still allowed, or they would have brought it back to the 80s when everything closed at midnight or 02:00 latest (in fact thats whats happening in my town).

Also NYE is often used by people to settle old scores and there is always a rise in violence around that time. The blue light services are fully aware of all this and perhaps this rave was one of the least problematic places in a large city. Bristol (in common with other larger cities) also has a far bigger problem with stranger violence than East Anglia – here most people what fight or kill one another know each other and live locally so its easy enough to bring them before Court, whereas last time I looked on the Avsom police site there were still loads of cold cases and hard to solve random attacks on strangers.

was that the same vandall that plays hard tech/hard trance stuff? if so then yeah his sets are normally pretty decent!

yes it was, no trance though he plays hardtek/ragga hardtek

i dont think it’s the same dj, though it could be . . . Vandall b2b Scot Attrill @ Hindsight PT1 – YouTube

ahh no thats not the same vandall

the vandall hes referring to is from kaotik, tight dj, and makes good tracks, real nice chap aswell!

ah right, didnt think it was! 😛

any decent video clips of this party?

i dunno actually! there should be somewhere online, i had only just been graced with mu new super phone, and was a lil pre-occupied, so didnt get any footage myself – youtube will proberbly be your frined on that one, wang em here aswell mate if you find any wouldnt mind a shufty myself!

I saw quite a few pricks at the rave. And saw some bloke get his face caved in, in the bogs. But like Mingehead said It was in a central location. Overall it was a banging party, and the overall crowd was good.
