You didn’t know about the blonde bear? UK folks smh, jk most Americans don’t know about it either, I just happen to know.
its kind of overshadowed by the presence of brown, black and polar bears in Canada (not many countries have 3 resident species of bear!) and easily mistaken for a polar bear hybrid (which it isn’t).
The reasons for its existence do make biological sense, just that it rarely seems to end up on nature films etc compared to all the other kinds of bear found worldwide..
I’m just giving you grief GL. I haven’t seen one in the wild or in a zoo for that matter. I’ve seen brown and black bears in the wild and polar bears in a zoo. Granted I’ve never been to that specific part of California, but it’d be cool as all hell to see one of those.
