Alternatively, Zero Dark Thirty is a fucking good film, check it out dude. 🙂

Was pretty good if dark and lacking in giggles.

I’m a tad embarrassed because I was assembling a streaming video network for a mate the other day. Out of maybe 400 films stored on various hard drives and systems…

… I can’t recall ONE SINGLE ONE OF THEM I’d recommend.

Still, he’s happy, he can now stream 3D porn to his laptop.

i was going to watch this, but thought it looked a bit sad, nice, i’ll give it a watch… its heath isn’t it?

I have to confess that I had no idea there was even a film with such a name dude, I was just being my usual sarky self. You asked us to recommend a good film, so I recommended cling film, which is admittedly a good film, but it would be an awful topic for a 90+ minute movie!

If there’s one thing that has absolutely no need to be in 3D, it’s porn! I have no desire to see the money shot in 3D!

They have a movie called ‘the wrestler’ on love film which I highly recommend.

The Wrestler? What’s that about then? 🙂

It’s about a man trying to open a jar of mustard.

I know and agree. They are over 50, nearly blind and possibly terminally ill though. And after 3 failed marriages determined to stay single.

That sounds like a great film! Does he get his mates around to try and open it as well?

I presume you’re talking about your mate there and not the porn stars, cos otherwise that’s some very niche porn!

I remember watching it when I was in the Civil Service, and around the same time I had just got a SAGEM phone that could play MP3 ringtones depending on caller ID.

although it was very rare for work to call my mobile as it was a personal set rather then govt issue (though strangely I had full access levels into the internal GTN on it), their calls never had caller ID (not for secrecy but because both BT and Cable and Wireless charge silly money for the same presentation number from calls originated from multiple sites/routes).

So I downloaded the distinctive Aquarelo de Brazil theme tune and set my phone to play it on all calls where CLID was not present.

One day my phone went off in the corridor and the Head of Division heard the tune playing, and I saw a big grin break out across his face, I reckon he too knew exactly why I had picked it :laugh_at:

😀 haha love it. I’ve had that tune stuck in my head for years after watching that film a few times. 🙂

Knowhow have you ever seen “The Acid House”?

It’s based on a book written by the same guy who wrought Trainspotting (He played Mikey Forrester in Trainspotting aka Irvine Welsh irl).

It’s a collection of short stories (as are a lot of his other books). The Acid House has 4 of the ones form the book iirc, and is a pretty messed up film (especially one story about this guy who moves in upstairs to this other guy and his gf and really makes his life hell). The book is really good as well and has tons and tons more short stories in it.

Agreed. I’ve got The Acid House on dvd and it’s pretty good man, might have to dig it out at some point and give it a watch again.

Good ones on lovefilm at the moment:

Tyrannosaur, First day of the rest of your life, and blue valentine.

Apocalypse Now is on their too, but im guessing youve already watched that!

No country for old men is a good film, no idea what just made me think of it or if it’s on lovefilm.
