  • Having a professional take pictures of your kids can be a nice way to remember their childhood. Kids grow up so fast…

I’d been a bit worried by the subject title – it is a popular hobby project in Northern Europe to use a microcontroller, light beam or laser detector and a solenoid to catch mice or rats in a big spacious cage (a lot of effort is put into both software and hardware to reduce any potential harm to the animal). They are then then fed and photographed, and if the electronics enthusiast does not know the species his/her friends are shown the photos or they are shared on nature websites. The rodents are later taken around 2-3km from where they were caught (usually on the back rack of a bicycle) and let free.

So I thought this was a plan to do the same with human babies, but that is illegal in Europe and probably everywhere else other than some parts of the USA.

I am totally agree with you. You are 100% good here that it is illegal in Europe and probably everywhere else other than some of the USA.
