    yeah im using vista, and i think i understand some of what you put there… i doubt its overheating tbh as the heating in my room isnt working so its almost subzero at the moment and it shuts down when i first turn it on, not after its been running for a while.. computers only a couple of years old too. cheers for havin a look..:love:

    would you be able to take out say your gfx card .. clean it . then put it back in again .. then the ram .. then the next part .. ect .. untill you have taken all peices out and back in again clean ..? .. a few years of not cleaning a computor amounts to a fuck load and i mean loads of dust build up ….. and even if its frezzing .. it will still slow a system down big time … also one of the componants may have come loose … alltho by what that info sais … it looks like you have tried to install some thing like a new set of drivers or a new program recently … if not its possible it may be a virus you didn’t install … thats has messed around with it .. have you tried reinstalling windows? .. can you get into this bit …..

    I get well angry with technology. today the virgin media box fucked up, went proper mental on me so i launched the remote at the wall. i need a new remote. :hopeless:

    cant remember installing anything new, and ive done loads of virus/adware/spybot scans and killed all the nasties.ill give it a go when i get home mate, if it starts up.
