I did say “I don’t think it is VERY healthy”. It is very easy to watch porn and think of it as a real experience – most videos have a certain amount of editing and quite frankly you can get some very wrong ideas about sex if your only exposure to sex is internet porn. Which can make real sexual encounters and long term relationships all the more difficult.
Yes, porn can be educational about sex, but it can also be misleading. For instance, you don’t tend to see a lot of foreplay or pillow talk, pre or non-sexual intimacy, in porn videos. That can put barriers up in terms of relationships and sexual exploration… “It’s all about the fucking, the penetration, the orgasms…” well, you can have many orgasms without penetration, and sex can get boring if you are always relying on a few different models and “ways of operating”.
Think spontaneity. Without that, life is a bit dull.
