  • So had to look after my families dogs this week and everytime i take them out to this field (the only field i know which is around this area) they go and get soaked in a dirty stream and then i have to wash them and dry them. to me this is not worth the hassle of having dogs at all.

Could/can you be bothered to look after a dog or dogs?

funny you should post this, ive just been lookig after a mates dog whilst he went to boomtown, i loved taking the dog for walks, infact i was riding home on me lunch break to do it! har!! the dog itself does not get along with other animals atalll so unfortunately in urban areas the dog can -not go off the lead, and we had a slight altercation with a badger on friday wich was fucking scary! never before have i stamped on another living things head soo many times, blood everywhere!

but all in all yeah i would be well up for walking a dog twice a day, good excuse to chat to women, have a doob and generally enjoy your suroundings!

    LOL you killed a badger?

well it’s not so bad when they don’t jump in fucking streams and stink of dirty shit water… either way i still couldn’t be assed with the hassle of a dog everyday.

I have had my own dogs since -88 so yes, i do not find that a hazzle at all to take care of my dog. Its a part of the routine.
Ok. I have chosen dogs short haired dogs due the brushing is not that fun all the time(my father was a afghan-hound breeder so I know all about that :/), it easier to just use a wet cloth.
And I have only used shampoo on Liloo three times the last 7,5 years. Dog fur is easier to maintain if you avoid shampoo and they do not start to stink of what dogs do when they is often is treated with soap. They have natural skin fat that keeps the fur clean and it is when you mess(like soap do) with that they start to stink…The dirt just falls off when you brush the dog when they have maintained the natural skin fat.
Its also a part of dog-traning to make the dog do what you want them to, make it fun of not getting dirty is a god job for the dog, it all come out on fun if you think its good and fun the dog think it as well….

walking a dog is just like having sex with a beautiful woman.

    lol

Dogs are like family! Ofc you gotta take em for those tasty walks.

I also see it as a nice break in the day/evening when you can just have a walk, maybe a spliff n chill. Used to be the norm for me before I moved out.

Only have one to walk just now but at times I have been responsible for exercising up to 9 dogs everyday so one is no problem :crazy_fre
Feel for you with the washing thing – I have an outside tap and it sees a lot of use as I tend to specialise in working spaniels and they will jump in the smallest puddle to get wet :get_you: The record is having to wash 6 other folks dogs in one day and my own ones twice :rant:that day  and then towel them all dry as it was too cold to leave them to dry au naturel :/

    ouch 😀

to be honest i did make this thread due to being annoyed about washing them. walking them isn’t too bad (it’s just like having sex with a beautiful woman). that said though i could never pick up a dogs shit everyday and be responsible for them… maybe in 10 years though.

Picking up dog shit’s like making love to a buitifull woman. When you first bend over to go down there you hope it’s not gonna smell too bad, then when your fingures first touch it it feels warm and you then notice it’s quite wet and sticky. Then once you’ve had enough and got to the point where the sight of it makes you wanna be sick you chuck it in the bin.

(sry ladys … it’s just a joke xxx)
