What something like Sim-Rave? Where you have to plan and organise a free party?

Selecting locations, DJs and set the quality and price of drugs? :laugh_at:

    No Thanks !

unfortunately if we are realistic about this this is whats happening anyway..

with increasing surveillance and enforcement some counties have already been properly locked down and are virtually impossible to rave.

In those areas where raves still happen, they are grudgingly “allowed to continue” in certain areas which are usually “public” land run by Forestry, a local Council or Defra, rather than private farmland (which is fair enough as its not right IMO to wreck a farmers land)

also when they do happen they are closely watched (if not shut down) by the Police, everyone attending is scrutinised by CCTV cameras in cars and by evidence gathering teams.

What is also happening now is people are going to more and more remote areas to party, often driving 100-200 miles each way and often sleep deprived and under the influence of drugs, and this can’t be good for the safety of the nation as a whole, so it would be better for people only to travel 30-40 miles for each party.

People have had 16 or more years to self-regulate and address the issues such as litter, noise and damage but its only just being done and in some cases (not all) not being done quickly enough or efficiently enough to satisfy the rest of society – those who dont’ attend raves but might have to pay for any consequences.

Because of the image ravers give (particularly via their internet communities) its hardly surprising then that the nanny state wants to control these events as it seems that too many people have acted like stupid spoilt children.

OTOH if the “security” only means basic health and safety precautions and the finish time is late Sunday afternoon, what is so wrong with that?

The councils have to also accept one reason there are so many free parties in some areas is because they clamped down and still clamp down on legal events in certain counties..

The association has identified Klaxons, New Young Pony Club, Shitdisco, Trash Fashion and Hot Chip as leading exponents of nu-rave, described by a council spokeswoman as “punk meets disco”.

i dont know whether to laugh or cry

they really dont have a clue do they

I’m still to see a nu-rave rig out at a party.
