  • Kratom is mostly medicinal but has some recreational properties depending on the color of the vine. Theres is red, white and green I think. Tryptameanie has used it a lot more than me and could better explain it but basically it binds to your opiate receptors in a way that produces a bit of pain relief and increased energy sometimes. It is no special in that it isn’t a psychedelic.

Many former heroin or opioid pill addicts have found it useful for staying clean. As far as anyone knows, no one has died from just kratom although a few people were found to have it along with other stuff in their system.

Hi, Mr. Meanie, i don’t know, but i have a feeling i have seen u, maybe just chat with u somewhere???
Maybe do you have any souvenir of my name or its just my head which plays with my memory…. 😉
KRATOM…Sounds to me like ATOM, is that something special :tripping-out::toxic:, or a medicine plant only???

hope u or someone, can give me a real connaissor advice : if it is something i should explore or better wait for a dmt plan…..

Not really much information I can give you my friend really. I use it but don’t know much about it. It stimu;ates the opioid receptors but is not an opioid and gives a very similar feeling. Doses start around 3 grams depending on the type of kratom (and there seem to be a few, red veined indica and god knows what else) and also extracts which I’ve never really tried) and as you increase the dise it’s vry much like increasing the dose of a painkiller to the point of nausea and vomiting. Pretty sure this plant is very very safe though

Yeah I know of the red white and green varieties and then there’s all sorts of different strains among them. Does have mild pain relieving properties and someone I know with real physical illness has reduced down to 1 tramadol a day thanks to kratom, which she hated taking.

From what I’ve read the extract is the only thing you can run into trouble with because of how much you can take quickly, it’d be hard to take enough tea or whatever quickly enough to cause a problem and even if you did you’d just vomit it up. I’d steer far clear of the extract, similar to people smoking 100x salvia in regards to it being much different that the natural product.

AFAIK it hasn’t killed anyone directly from an acute complication in the 500+ years that its been used as a recreational drug, although when combined in poly drug use I’m sure it could contribute to a death given the wrong circumstances or combination since it depresses breathing etc.

That’s great to hear about someone cutting down on Tramadol because of Kratom, but them still being on 1 Tramadol a day empirically confirms my understanding that you can’t replace pain medication completely with Kratom if you have a pain problem although I’m agnostic to the possiblity. If you’re just using opioids to get high then Kratom could be a viable substitute and a silver bullet in the proper treatment plan.

Yeah the extracts are quite a lot more potent, some require only half a gram or less and everyone I talked to on the subject told me to stay away from them.. Even 0.5g vs 3g is 6x so getting them mixed up would be the equivalent of taking 18g kratom which would be very very unpleasant indeed I imagine.

The variety I use now is Maeng Da Thai kratom, very potent compared to the others I tried. With others I was up to maybe 8 grams so when I 1st got this, while I impatiently waited for the vendor to reply, I had 5 grams, then 3 more rams and felt pretty fucking smashed, to the point of being almost unwell, and that would be less than half the equivalent amount of taking 3 grams of extract.
