  • yeah getting carried away in a helicopter while having a bad trip would not be good.

Cor, waking up in a helicopter and having someone telling you you’re not trippin’, that you actually ARE in a helicopter – imagine that…

haha yeah, either way it would be pretty fucked up

saw that happen to a girl in EA party after combining 2c* substances with acid. Some of younger folk asked me what to do (I work in healthcare and some folks rather worryingly think I can fix people, I am only the finance and technology manager!) , they were even considering calling Eastamb but I said to make sure she stays breathing and to put her somewhere where she won’t hurt herself or get run over – where we were it would have possibly needed Anglia one (medical heli) to get her to hospital and she would probably freak out more in the James Paget than being looked after at the rave

they did look after her and and she survived but it was not a nice thing to see, it was one the final straws what made me stop going to illegal raves.

when did you make the decision to stop going?

I’d already become a bit disillusioned with SE England’s scene by late 2005 and it came to a head in NYE 05/06 party where two of my closest friends had a fight in the middle of the party over a six year old grudge about door money from a previous rave, then one of them had a big domestic with his missus and it wrecked the atmosphere of the party

I did party in East Anglia though until the end of 2007… and one thing I will say is that the stereotypes of Norfolk parties are mostly bullshit, they are no more worse or sketchy than the parties in SE England done by similar age groups and if the youths can’t afford as much sound equipment its simply because they and their ravers can’t get high paying normal day jobs like people in London or SE England…

but what put me off was the scale of the locals/cops backlash, the amount of K everyone was doing and how even the traditionally friendly EA scene had become a lot angrier, I’d see at least one fight or argument at every party even if the cops didn’t attend. plus people are really ragging themselves on the party scene here, my mates said about 10 ravers had died, either through overdoses or RTCs driving back from raves either sleep deprived or still K’d up, and this is only in the space of 5 years

Then two of my local mates got sent to jail after a party went tits up in 2007 and I thought “fuck this for a game of soldiers” as I’ve got a responsible job, a decent career and a house now and I’m not risking it all just for a weekend…

Eastamb paramedics would probably sedate her with a large dose of benzodiazepines so she was virtually unconcious before taking her away…

What would have been be a lot worse for her is waking up in the James Paget on Sunday evening, 70 miles away from where she lives and having to get friends or parents to pick her up, or to get a taxi back at her own or her families expense (the train service in that area only runs every 2 hours on Sunday with limited trains!)

also the staff at James Paget / NNUH group are gonna be the same age as her but obviously the sort what studied hard at school, went uni etc and whatever political correctness the NHS have I know at “frontline level” some of them are gonna be a bit judgemental, even if they hide their feelings well (bear in mind I’ve got relatives the same age working in NHS)

Worse if Anglia One was deployed already (which is very possible given the apalling way some people drive round here) she would have been airlifted out by Oscar India 99 (Norfolk Police helicopter) who would also have got the rave closed down/investigated…

ah good old Xray Alpha 99 or the “paraffin Pigeon” – it used to make guest appearances in Reading when XA97 was in for servicing..

if I didn’t hear it on the scanner my cat would get up on the wheelie bin and look up at the sky (he did not do this for other aircraft, even though I lived below the flight path to RAF Benson). I was impressed with the cat’s surveillance awareness. :laugh_at:

    gl… you know too much

nah, its simply what comes of living in the bloody flight path to both RAF and civillian aircraft (mostly going to Heathrow), mind you its not much better out here these days, I think I am now in the stansted flightpath. when the planes keep you awake on comedowns you start wanting to know more about them, and why they are there…

    racist o.O
