After over 10 years in the underground dance scene, Dj Polly Tickle one of Thee Anarcho Funketeers, was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called Devic’s disease or N.M.O (for further information seehttp://www.thewaltoncentre.co.uk/patients/Neuromyelitis_Optica.html#17._When_will_the_recurrences_/_relapses_occur_
This is a rare disease with approximately only 50 sufferers in the UK. There are probably 100 more misdiagnosed cases, but these have been diagnosed with MS aka Multiple Sclerosis.
No one is researching this disease because there is not enough scope for the pharmaceutical companies to make profit. We need to find at least 600 known sufferers worldwide for them to finance research to combat this condition and to find them, we need to build a website to help and support the small groups of sufferers worldwide, bringing them together in one place online.
DJ Polly Tickle is on a quest to make this happen. The Anarcho Funketeers partied with you, The Dance Nation, for over a year at Tribal Kaos in the pleasure rooms, Tottenham, and ran a room at Pickle at the infamous Imperial Gardens every month for 5 years. As well as these mind blowing parties, we have also played in Bristol, Sheffield, The Brixton Academy and many, many, more.
Come together for one night, one more night of electronic madness and space dust crescendo, and help us achieve Polly’s quest. It’s time for one big hug across thee world, its time to make a difference, people of the Dance Nation, stand together, be counted, help us help each other. The power is in our hands and on thee decks, one more night of the big hug and we can change peoples lives, by giving them hope and support.
