Pardon my ignorance but whoever called a party a doof or a teuf??

AFAIK Doof is dutch slang ; not sure of origin
but Teuf is French; there is a form of French slang which is derived from inverting syllables of words
A party is “la fete” (should be a ^ above the e but don’t know how to do it on UK only laptop keyboard 🙁 )
so reversed it becomes “la teuf” (spelling changed to make it easier to pronounce)
I think the expression doof is an aussie term for an outdoor trance party.
