  • I have been a smoker for about four or five years now, smoking about half a pack a day. I know this is not a difficult history compared to a lot of the people that have shared their conversion stories here, but I figured I’d include some background.

I’ve been looking into making the switch to vapor for a few weeks now and feel I am finally ready to take the plunge. After reading the medical research and economic benefits, it seems to be worth a shot.

I just have some final questions I want to get cleared up before I make the transition:

It looks like I’m going to be buying the Kanger eVod eGo kit. Do you guys find this to be a good choice? From what I’ve read it seems the cig-a-likes are not worth starting with since everyone seems to upgrade from them anyway, and this seems to be one of the easier pieces of equipment to start with but still get decent performance.

My next question is what else do I need to get started from here? I guess I need the “eJuice” or w/e it is called, but where can I purchase online in the United States? Also, how much MG of nicotine should I go with to be close to what regular cigarettes are?

Also, what are the “coils” they are talking about with this machine? It supposedly comes with five and I guess I have to change them every so often? Is this an easy task? Just need some light shed on this as well.

Lastly, what are all these other “mods” I can tack on? I see things called drip tips. Are these just alternative mouth pieces? Then I see all these words like cartomisers, atomisers, clearomisers, and such, and have no idea what these mean lol.

Hoping some experienced users can clear this stuff up for me. Also, if theres a thread that defines all these things, I’d appreciate it if you could link me to it. Thanks for the help!

If you wanna stop then stop.

I have an electronic cigarette, I paid a lot of money for it and that’s fine if it’s good.

You don’t know what these fluids contains, you don’t know the long term effect of smoking a cigarette like that.

So if you want to stop, then stop!

No need to replace one bad habbit with another

Kanger eVod eGo kit is healthier but is it cheaper than smoking standards cigarettes.
