I’m still eating fish and chicken, no red meat though. I was a vegetarian for about 2 years starting when I was 14. I’ve got back into eating meat but now am weening off again because it just seems like adverse effects of meat (esspecialley red) makes it not really worth it. Even if it’s pretty damn tatsey.

I hear you matey i have the same problem , i love meat but it hates me .

The bonus though is that i now am now eating the more varied, healthy, delicious meals that ever befor, that are cooked to perfection by a master chef 😉

I quite like meat as some of you may have already discovered .

I was however vegitarian for the best part of 16 years and it made me horribly ill and I used to have to eat tons of supplements. I think the best way to eat is to make sure that what ever you eat is of the best quality.

I am a bit of a freak in shops I stand and sniff tomatoes to check they are good quality and poke and squeeze bit of meat to see the juices. If I go to a butchers I quite often eat bits of beef raw to test the quality and as mad as this may sound it means that I only get good quality food and it rarely disagrees with me. I can eat a whole roast beef or half a kilo of good cheese and have no adverse reaction but give me 4 slices of shitty bacon and I feel grim.

Anyway what I should have said rather than ramble is eat good food and when it comes to eating ethics are bullshit. There is no such thing as ethical food in this world as everything supports the cash crop economy,w which is responsible for the deaths of millions who can’t afford and the degradation of the worlds soil.

They are fecking wrong as well… I keep trying them as I can’t believe they all can be rank, but so far I am yet to find one that I will have more than a couple of mouthfuls of!

I always have a meatball sub when i visit em. Haven’t had one of them for a while as well tbh. I actually prefer decent healthy food these days! 😉

I refuse to eat from any establishment that constantly smells the same.

Every subway in the world smells the same so I’ve never had one.

subway is the devil. I would rather eat a maccys than ever eat a subway again! Last time i ate a subway, about 3yrs ago i got the worst case of food poisening ive ever had. Proper nasty doubled over in agony with stomach cramps for about 7 days. real stabbing pains like someone was running me through with knitting needles, managed to drive myself to the docters after about 3days of this and they thought i had appendisitis (sp?), but couldnt be sure gave me some really strong codiene and said if the pain got any worse to phone an ambulance immediatly. luckily it didnt, no-more subway’s for me tho… :yakk::yakk::yakk::yakk:

Ps it was a steak and cheese if my memory serves me right…

just go to the docs and say you’ve had really bad stabbing pains in your stomach for days and cramps.. when they press around your stomach area say it hurts/ is tender around your appendix area i guess. mine genuinly was tho for some reason. then look really pathetic and ask if they can give you something for the pain as you havent had any sleep in about 3 days… if your on the docs notes as being a former smackhead tho they’ll probably be less likely to give em out i would think…

Appendicitis – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

there is always the chance that you may end up in hospital with your appendix in a jar next to you as a result of trying to blag the doc tho 😉

or if you’ve already had it out they may rumble you…:laugh_at:

im strict veggie, have been since i was bout 17. no meat, no fish, nothing made with animal fat, gelatine etc. only dairy and eggs, an i dnt realy like eggs, but its in lots of things so i still eat it technicaly.
also, sidenote: all Subway’s smell exactly the same becaus its a spray they use, its not actuly the smell of the food! rank.

i would morally prefer to be vegetarian, but i’m blood type 0 and i find if i don’t eat a lot of protein, i feel faint. i also feel like my body craves red meat if i don’t get it from time to time. i know i can get a lot of protein from other sources like beans, pulses, especially ‘quinoa’ – 18% protein, but i doesn’t feel the same, and i’m always forever hungry just eating veggies. also, tbo i love the taste of meat…like, once the meat is finished, the meal is kinda finished, in my mind. also meat is expensive and then if you’d prefer eating outdoor grown/ slow grown/ organic meat the price goes up up. also i have to keep my weight up. am i in denial? hmm. anyhow i can’t see change on this one. oh well
