it is also perfectly possible for a sociopath or someone with other personality disorders to be very intelligent, .

Sociopathy isn’t actually a thing, it’s made up. It’s not recognised as a personality disorder by psychologists. It’s all folklore.

MAMA SAYS HAPPINESS COMES DOWN FROM RAYS OF SUNSHINE.

That takes me back. The days of D&D controversy. Sure I wasn’t actually there for them, but still.

there’s a lot of disagreement over the exact definition of personality disorders, but what has been seen since the 1990s is the excessive use of MDMA does exacerbate them – without however permanently reducing the users capability to learn stuff or work or make money.

The stuff is fun when you are up and isn’t a particularly toxic drug, but on the comedown it can cause real problems with the way you interact with others. It can also make a less social person briefly more friendly, until the comedown kicks in.

TBH my own personal experience reflects that – to the point (and this may seem strange) I started to prefer dexamfetamine as it has less harsh emotional effects on me.

However regular use of any stimulant does make people selfish and impulsive due to the effects on the chemicals in the brain. often its not enough to get folk sectioned but can lose them friends or get them estranged from their families.
