Government organized violence is not the solution to our problem. The first brave step to peace and freedom is to lay down arms. To wage war for peace and freedom is like fucking for virginity. It doesn’t add up.

Unfortunately it doesn’t really work like that though.

Not everyone in the United States is Christian. In fact, I’d say there are more athiests in the US than people who believe in God. So we’re supposed to just sit back and watch the country go up in flames and not fight back? That’s not how it works.. People hate America because they can’t stand the fact that we have all of these freedoms, so they decide to attack us to take that away. When we fight back, people blame us for being such a barbaric country because they have nothing else to lean on. When people are unhappy, they will do everything in their power to drag down the people who are happy.

Many North European countries have the same amount of freedoms if not more but they don’t get attacked by terrorists constantly and you know why? They aren’t constantly war mongering for profit. Obviously the UK doesn’t have a pristine record either.

And actually – the majority of the USA is Christian – “The majority of Americans (73–76%) identify themselves as Christians and about 15–20% have no religious affiliation”

Deezl have you seen the census on the UK about religion? It says that we have a higher percentage of religios people than non religious. I think its because some people who are christened think that means they identify as christian.
But yeah…we all know that the amount of non religious people outweighs the amout of religios.

You really do sound like you have been brainwashed by patriots.
There are millions of people just like you all over the world with this exact attitude.
Its not about sides, and nobody has the right to sell arms to anyone that is going to use them to blow up civilians.

    Hahahah. No.

The UK is drastically different from the USA in terms of religion. In the USA they used to have to swear allegiance to god and all that before the school day would commence, they have billboards saying “God loves you!” and are basically bombarded by religion constantly.

Im not saying it isnt but these statistics and surveys are not always good to go by.

And it’s the Government and Army that are attacking other countries, is it not? It’s not the people.

I never said it was the people, I have nothing against the people of the USA. Although technically the Government and Army ARE the people of the USA..

Governments are representatives of the people and the army are representatives of the government, ergo the army are representatives of the people.

You didn’t say the people specifically but that’s what you were referring to. You have nothing against the people themselves but you hate that they want to defend themselves… and potentially fight back. Governments are representatives of the people but when it comes to a harmful and threatening situation, the Army is going to do what is best for the country. They’re not going to stop on account of maybe a quarter of the people who say war is bad and un-Christian like. They’re going to do whatever it takes to keep the country safe.

Politican and social events don’t happen without context. There’s a reason for everything (and I don’t mean that in the metaphorical sense, like a lot of people say when bad stuff happens.) Do you really think wars like Iraq were for “defence?” The US spends more than the next 14 countries combined on their military and then try to play World Police (but only when they can gain something from it. Too bad Rwanda didn’t have oil eh?)

Yeah cause appeasement policies worked so well in the past lol

There can be a time for it. Certainly no attempt was made at settling the crisis in 1914, all the countries were perfectly happy to go to war, being completely oblivious of how nasty a modern war can be. Some attempt at appeasement, or at least slowing down the rate of mobilisation, might have prevented that. Or at least prevented so many countries being caught up in it.

The times when appeasement is not an option is when a particular country’s leader insist they have everything their own way, and devil take the hindmost.

It is probably worth noting that the last year that a British service person failed to be killed on active duty… was 1968. Just because you don’t read about a “war” in the media, does not mean that people are not killing and being killed.

Finally, don’t think that armies exclusively kill each other. Sometimes they kill themselves more.

Indeed, this was my point. They are involved in many wars that aren’t just for defence. Look at the USA’s fear of Communism that nearly got the world blown to shit. Then wars where they were trying to dictate other countries basically and forcefully stopping commie revolutions. This is something that still goes on today as after all Algebra is a work of communism, we all know that.

I assume you’re referring to the Rwandan genocide? That was very fucked up indeed, it saddens me that people didn’t do more.
