also love this bit, the set up is so ridiculous it makes it even funnier

Love it, also the IT crown – they’re both done by the same writers.

Its not English, its irish. But I think some of the writers were English.
I like a few French films like delicatessen, belle vue rendezvous and Amelie.

Are there any others I should watch ?

It’s Irish, definitely actors and I think the production too. Definitely worth a watch, the humour is kind of Irish centric but I think it travels well as it’s kind of universal “people living in backwater” humour, you’ll definitely get the jokes, they are not subtle 🙂

Also check out ‘The Vicar of Dibly’

Thks lot for replie, hope am gona find a version with french subtitles, but if u said its not too much subtle, maybe my english will be suffisant to understand them, cuz the “bad joke thread” from tryptameanie is to difficult to understand for me as most are expressions.

Am gonna tell u a funny expression i missunderstood as example a few days ago as example wich happend to me a few days ago on a comentary written in english about a video a made and put since a year ago on youtube,
the guy was a gun lover and wrotte : “bad ass piece man”

i thought he insults me and was meaning “bad ass piece man = I AM A PIECE OF SHIT” , so i respond him something finnishing with “AM THE FUCK YOU MAN”. Some days later an other guy explained me he was meaning “bad ass piece means in english it is a nice pipe.”… LOL

there are very good comedie movies from france, the most funniest are all the old famous movies with the actors (Louis de funès and Bourvil such “Le Corniaud (1965), La Grande Vadrouille (1966)”,

          L. De Funès is the undisputed champion of the French box-office of the 1960s till the beginning of 1980s: he attracts more than 270 million spectators in rooms

one excellent movie which u should really see made 2 years ago i think is “gibraltar” which is a fim about a guy which get invovlved as drug informer where is a story mixed with the IRA, French – english canadian police and some differrent drugs countrie cartels EXCELLENT MOVIE

and one EXCELLENT taken from a true story is in french “Intouchables”, 51 in 54 million entrances(entries) to the world according to sources, in front of the previous holder of the record, The Fifth Element, and its 43 million entrances(entries). Untouchable so became the production of not English language to have known the biggest of all times success on the market international5. Untouchable also becomes the movie the most seen of the year in European Union in front of Harry Potter
