The British authorities were busting unlicensed musicians in the middle ages (1400s).. the reason why morris dancers sometimes black up their faces isn’t because they are being racist, but they did that in the old days so as not to get busted!

the authorities did far worse stuff then, there was a iron thing called a “noisemakers fife” and the musician got his hands locked up in it and it was tightened to break all his fingers….

These days there is no excuse for fucking up a nature reserve. If you go to Natural england website and put in the postcode or grid reference it tells you where all your local nature reserves are.

my mum’s mate is a morris dancer in suffolk, and we’ve been out with them a few times,
its hillareous and good fun – they just get propper mashed up and dance with sticks and bells from pub to pub :bounce_fl

It was certainly a stupid place to have a party. Fairly low key parties used to happen down there from about 99-04 but then other crews started using it for bigger things and it was an easy target. It’s now a hotspot after the way some fools treated it.

Although, in their defence the area they held the party was most probably not the nature reserve but the beach area or the large car park area. The nature reserve is fenced off, clearly signposted and not a suitable place to hold a party.
