Sounds like you like to keep it diverse; thats good.
Especially like the old skool hardcore and Nu NRG (Bit of a personal fav!) Its a tricky line to tread though. I’m from the school of thought that if a system plays (mainly) one particular type of music, then they develop an identity. I also like to keep stomping to one type of music, and can get a bit miffed when the tempo suddenly slows. (but not if it speeds up, for some reason!)
I suppose its ‘horses for courses’. Keeping it the same works for the multi-rigs, so you can wander around, but still know the beats’ll be there…. but for single system parties, some diversity keeps things interesting.
Always need some Reggae/ Dub for the sunrise though.
