  • i don’t know if i’m being a twat now posting TOO much but..
a lot of things i’ve posted some people (Tbh) have come back with negative things.
although i feel im a particularly young version of most of you so i think its safe to say we all act positive smile a lot but really we don’t know whether thats a solid feeling and therefore don’t think about it or are actually depressed and do spend a lot of time alone..
so quick summary^ lots of comments/replies i’ve had are (mainly) negative about taking part in these parties and drugs etc and yet anyone says free party friday
WOO YEA you probably all think i wanna go..

So, should i actually try to get into this free party ‘whatever you want to call it’?
do you regret it? have you benefitted from it? Have you this that or the other on it, or am i just being a prat asking too many questions either way tell me what you think..
because i won’t listen and will persist to try and go to/get involved with these parties even if you do tell me its all bad… because i’m going to go anyway, just to know for myself.. whether i regretted it myself getting involved.
if i’ve done something wrong again, wrong forum etc tell me
    (sorry)
although this post i feel i’ve typed particularly clearly!

it is for you to find out. i have had some amazing times at parties and some not so amazing experiences, but they have all made me who i am now, so go to the party and enjoy the experience of finding out

i don’t know if i didn’t make it clear but thats exactly what i’m saying
whatever you say i’m still going to experience it myself i don’t care what other people say/think much
but too an extent i don’t mind hearing it, then trying it for myself and possibly going on some descriptions they’ve told me about i can benefit

tbh you can’t base opinions on only a few peoples replys (and the replys on here have been limited in comparison to the amount of people who go raving). there’s balance in everything … you’ll get storyies of people loving going parties every weekend for most of there life and otehres of people going a few times and not liking it. It’s all perspective. As process sais you really have to decide for you self what you make of it. The diferance between parties can be quite big so to put a blanket discription on all of them wouldn’t give you a clear veiw as the truth is each party is diferant.

mate just go to a party! do it! then you can find out for yourself! dont forget to post your review hearafter you have been!

i started going raving when i was 15 and looking back at old photos im amazed i got in! but i did and i properly got the bug! im 28 now and am still going out most weekends traviling up and down the country and europe etc ive met some amazing people & had some of the best experiances of mylife in the scene.

i work in an office and speaking to people who have not been involved in the scene, i am very happy with the choices ive made and if i could do it all over again i would!

there are low points – facing czek army on a tuesday with no sleep for 5 days was not fun! and various other arguments, wasted journeys massive loss in monies, running from clifton suspension bridge to bradley stoke fucking up on acid after a week of no sleep, being caried through glastonbury crying my eyes out off base psycosis etc, but thats all part of the process you gotta take the ruff with the smooth innit! and it these experiances that make us

just keep plugging away mate, youll find yourself at a party soon enough, and youll either embrace the whirwind or relise that theres more to life that you would like to experiance

It’s one of those things that just needs to be tried. There are many different types of ‘raves’ and free party cultures which are unique, and all different kinds of people get different things from their experiences

you gotta love that speed psycosis! :hopeless::laugh_at:

I think a surprising number of people on this forum genuinely do have or have had issues with depression in the past – but it’s usually not as a result of taking drugs. The free party scene is a subculture, and like all subcultures – goths, sci-fi enthusiasts, trainspotters – it tends to attract the kind of people who feel that they don’t fit in with mainstream society, i.e. the kind of people who may be prone to depression in the first place. Add to this the fact that this forum only represents the part of the free-party culture that likes to sit around on the internet typing messages to people they’ve never met in real life (me included), and it’s not surprising that there seem to be a lot of depressed folk on here (especially on Mondays and Tuesdays!).

If you start going to parties etc I doubt it will make your mental state any worse. More likely that you’ll meet people who you’ll share a common ground with. I guess the big problem that some people fall into is they use the drugs as a way to avoid dealing with their depression, which is easy to do when everyone you know has drugs on them.

So if you want to go to free parties go for it, it’s your own choice.

    gimme the numbers then 🙂
thats all i’m waiting for i’ll go to the next one i get the chance
although my mate says on the second(of april) there is a free party “he knows about”
i only know him through school and would generally otherwise not see him (we agree) so i dont know if he is lying..
    and CHEESEWEASEL
    really i love your post!!

really liked the idea of it and stuff.. probably seems like im joking but yah!

Mate, you seem like a good guy and I know you want to get to a party – you’ve spent a long time trying to convince everyone of that. But if you’d put that effort into searching out a party on Facebook (have you not found the Scum lot yet?! They’ve been on BBC News a few times, they’re hardly discreet) or talking to people in real life who can tell that you’re legit (go sniffing around a few record shops if you’re too young to get into clubs), you’d probably have found one by now. Just use your initiative. The more you ask for numbers on here, the less inclined people will be to give you them. I’m sure you know why.

And maybe I should have stressed this a bit better…

…as from reading your other posts you describe yourself as being mentally not in a great place right now. If you were really asking ‘do you think it’s a good idea for me to start doing more/different drugs?’ you should probably ask youself why you want to.

    ^ agreed

my ‘therapist’ says i’m greater than ever but i guess she’s supposed too, but like we both know(me and her) im not a mental person even though i want to be… and tell myself i am.
its whether other drugs can push me over the edge… since my family has a big history…
and this is scumtek or something?
