  • I have set up a page on facebook called free party freedom freaks.
It basically is a place to air views and thoughts on the free party scene and to discuss how we may be able to get teknival sites made legal for us to use in the uk.
Please follow the link and join and add ur buds

    Thankyou

    Welcome to PartyVibe.

PV is a site that offers a option to make closed and moderated groups, I can not see the use of a FB group on this issue.

Since I cant see whats behind this link you better come up with some reference links…or a edition is very tempting….

    From the FB page

Sections 63, 64 & 65 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 have been put in place and taken our so called freedom of the land and most importantly our right to party.

I’m sure all of you will agree this is wrong and a violation of our rights..

Its all about the free party in whats supposed to be a free country!!
it all about the music and being free to express ourselves in whichever way we see fit in whichever place we see fit..and not about the commercialisation of the scene so that fat cats can profit!!

If the travellers can have proper legal sites and actually live on them permanent or even short term then why cant we have legal sites too?

We dont intimidate, threaten or steal or cause any trouble.
we just gather to enjoy ourselves to music and we even clean up behind ourselve without leave human and dog shit and rubbish everywhere.

Is that really such a crime??

Who is with me.. who is going to fight for our right to party??

firstly dividing us between ravers and travellers isn’t a good thing.

my mate who is a traveller is too busy working to spend much time on here (although he’s probably at bearded theory this weekend) but he taught me loads about the historical interactiions betwene travellers and ravers) and in many cases ravers fucked things up for the travellers in the 90s by linking their networks even more with class A drugs. the CJA was intended to stop both lifestyles. read all of it and it will be apparent.

also its not that easy to get a legal traveller site, when they do exist their conditions aren’t always pleasant, and even the “commercial” rave scene has taken a fucking huge hammering here in Blighty.

I happen to like euphoric/uplifting trance. I know many folk think it is “cheese” but I don’t care – I’m too old to care now. Much of my generation do especially here in EA but we can’t get a legal event licensed for shit even with this relatively mainstream dance music due to paranoia over drugs. I would have to travel to London or even the Netherlands to find a event playing the music I like.

hardly a environment for “fat cats”, would not even feed a rescue cat….

I still cant see the use for FB group on this issue, when you have PV or spiral-tribe.org. Infact I think it is a bad idea. Its all about to support the movement not the corporate biz…Give that a thought please.

My tuppence worth – it’s all about organisation. If you want to have non-corporate, you have to have an alternative model of organisation like co-op or collective, and have the guts to police it and maintain it.

Easier said than done. Doing some preliminary testing on an idea for equitable capitalism but it’s still early days on that.
