it is ironic in some ways as the more European languages and the more I learn about each of the EU countries I learn the less I want to become involved in teknivals, I have been reading up about the Netherlands and Amsterdam and now I see why people are so angry and voting in Geert Wilders and want gedoogbeleid stopped – its not because of normal Muslims and there aren’t even that many terrorists in NL but because a lot of people from that part of the world alongside native Dutch folk are involved in drugs, fraud and pimping in Amsterdam and are abusing the tolerance.. the impression I get is Amsterdam’s nightlife is viewed as a embarrasment by decent Dutch folk who are very hard working fair people..

but at the same time I want to go around Europe for something positive… maybe by boat rather than plane (even if it means I have to go to Harwich)

I don’t think I can go to Europe from Felixstowe easily, shipping containers aren’t pleasant places to be inside, or I would have to impersonate a Fillipino crew member, this is easy enough in one respect but I would have to swab the deck and all the other nautical stuff..

it seems better for the planet to go on the ferry, and also I won’t have to worry about ash from a volcano with a name no one can even pronounce.
