  • I love the taste of fruit but hate the skin and texture of all fruits apart from oranges and berries. i need more in my diet but im not a fan of smoothies either! anyway i can get it in my diet by masking it with something else/ mixing it in to a meal?

    All fruits apart from oranges and berries? There are a myriad of different fruits each with their own unique texture and in many cases the skin is removable.

    I love fruit. Just got myself a food dehydrator. Hello honeyed banana chips!

    Im strange what more can i say…ewww banana’s they are my main hatred in the fruit world. its the way it falls apart in your mouth its grim. i try new fruits all the time at the moment as my new mrs is a health freak but i really struggle with them. would that device dry them to the point that dried fruit comes in cereals?

    Grapes = best food ever.

    Personally I love fruit, I have to limit my intake as to much gives you the squits

    BUT

    Fruit is one small part of a healthy balanced diet, you cant live on fruit alone and it cant cancel out the bad things, you cant make up for having a pasty by having an apple afterwards lol

    IMO all this dieting stuff is over rated, so maybe you will live a few years longer, maybe you will get an illness regardless of diet, no one knows what the future hold and it’s better to enjoy today than be miserable in the hope of more tomorrows

    Never underestimate the benefits of a healthy diet.
    Problem is the government try and offer general diet tips to cover the entire population when in reality each individual needs to work out what diet plan works best for you. Each person’s dietary needs are unique to them. You’d be very surprised how much shit (no pun intended) builds up in your system and a good flush out or a stomach massage will often reveal just how healthy your dietary tract is/isn’t. Erm… I had something else to say to validate this rambling but it’s gone now so I’ll just trail off quietly………………

    Yup, I’m about to dry some bananas, some pineapple and some oranges.

    O im not wanting fruit just for a healthy diet, i love the the tastes of fruit in juices and yoghurt but i want to actually be able to eat the fruit itself. chrispy i might have to get one of them and add fruit to jordans raspberry clusters and oats! psy i do want to get proper dietary plan but to get that done costs £££ :/ i follow ital living and that keeps me healthy 🙂

    Man, i wouldn’t pay for that shit anyway. The only one who knows whats good for YOU is YOU. You have to work it out by trial & error.
    For example, i know having cereal for breakfast (For me) isn’t as good as my scrambled eggs – they give me more energy for longer, plus a whole host of other benefits (Vitamin d, riboflavin etc.) and help add up to my required protein levels.
    I actually eat between 3000-4000 calories a day and am in no way fat – if i ate 2500 as is reccomended i would lose muscle and starve.

    Anyway my favourite fruits are blueberries & mangoes, honestly best fruits ever created.

    Hence why the government just offers the shitty 5 a day and eat this many calories but not too much salt crap. It would be a lot of hard work but what should be happening is GPs should work in conjunction with nutritionists to produce an individual dietary plan for each patient that wants one. In the long run if people got used to looking after themselves and were more self aware it would probably save money. But hey why would any government want to put into practice something that is likely to cost them and possibly save a future government money.

    Deezl i know where your coming from, like ive figured out what foods make my stomach feel heavy and bloated and cut them out, but im not good with figuring out what foods give me what nutrients. i should probs just spend a hour or 2 checking it up 🙂

    Well worth having. You can also use it to make beef jerky!

    Er… some fruit, like bananas, you’re not supposed to eat the skin?

    (I think you already know this, just a wild shot in the dark).

    There is always the Scottish / Chinese solution… just cover the fruit in batter and deep fry it.

    Could you enjoy tinned fruit? its got syrup in it for taste, and you can have it with ice cream or whatever. Though nothing will really come close to the level of nutrients like eating it fresh and raw.

    Dont you mean best fruit to have ever evolved, ‘on the 29th day god was feeling peckish & was in the mood for something exotic so he created the Mango, he gave it unto Adam & Eve and they made Mango Margaritas’ lol

    Great thing about fruits, the ones that rely on animals eating them to spread the seeds and supply manure at least, there evolution has meant the tastiest survive, the nastier tasting fruits probably all died out cause no one wanted to munch on them
