No scanner can but an x-ray certainly can and have been used to catch many smugglers. Granted they tend to have masses of very dense, probably wax coated pellets in their stomach making them easier to spot but a small amount shoved up your girlfriends holes is perfect. Even if you do get rumbled, you still get a holiday and with her in prison you also get some peace 😉
