  • I enjoyed the beach (not been that way myself so nothing to compair it to as some of my friends were quite snobby about it)

    I love reading,
all sorts I like psychological thriller types that we call ‘candy for the eyes’ as its not ‘propper literature’ john grisham, susan hill, etc and propper stuff like wilkie collins etc but that dont seem you so how about…

neil gaimen and terry pratchett ‘good omens’ (book)

err…. the sandman series (graphic novels)
or V for vendetta graphic novel etc

no not really into psychollogical thrillers or crime books or reall!!! fantasy ones like terry hatchett books,

altho i did once buy a book called hitman, about the stories of a real life hitman and how he used to get by with the baggage of walking into a greasy spoon cafe taking out his pistol and shooting someone in the back of the head

it was really quite gruesome explaining out his head exploded and became part of his fried breakfast

    maybe a dvd? :laugh_at:

what sort of thing do you think you’d like?
    rather than what you dont?
might be a bit easier to help…..

i dunno just an interesting book with a story line that twists and turns and interesting characters, i might have to just go down the book shop and perouse, ill have a quick look online and reply with some ideas

I’m gonna get shouted down for this,
but I’ve really got into dan brown – he of the davinci code

I was bored at work and had finished my book (i do actually work sometimes 😉 when not on PV or reading…)
and found it in the lounge and it wasnt anyones so picked it up and couldnt put it down

I find the best place to buy books is the charity shops as most peeps read and get rid so often the top 10 are availiable and so much cheaper than the book store – esp if you dont like em in the end – no real loss…….

have heard of it but not read myself

how about some chuck palanuihk (sp) he of fight club fame, read a few of his and good

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0657333/

or aldous huxley type stuff, hunter s thompson, J G ballard etc

I was dcheeky when working part time at a garage at Diss, spent my time reading up on building theory in relationship to 3d design for the next job I was moving onto that I hadn’t quite told them about :weee: Got let go of in the end anyway, even I consider leaning over a tank containing 16000 lt of unleaded with half a spliff in my gob to be slightly against HSE rules

Incidently if anyone needs 3d stills or short anims for projects, gimme a holler, I’ll be back up and running once I’ve got my fucking machine sorted, first one I’ve had under warranty thank the silicon gods and godesses………

Anything by Janny Wurtz – an author who believes in torturing her already interesting characters and occasionally killing them too 🙂
